Credit Union Executive and Shared Branching Pioneer, Bonnie Kramer Honored as VIP Woman of the Year
Ontario, Calif.,—(January 29, 2010)—Officials at Financial Service Centers Cooperative, Inc. (FSCC), the nation’s largest and most convenient credit union Shared Branching Network, today announced Bonnie Kramer, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer has been selected as VIP Woman of the Year by the Board of Directors at the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW).
The NAPW Board selects a small handful of women each year to highlight and honor for their involvement with their communities, professional achievements, as well as contributions within their field of work.
“I am honored to be recognized as VIP Woman of the Year at NAPW. Above all I continue to enhance my contributions to the credit union industry that will assist credit unions in serving the financial needs of their members,” said Bonnie Kramer, EVP/COO, FSCC.
Ms. Kramer has been active in the Credit Union Movement for nearly 42 years. She has received high recognition through being responsible for the operation of the international Shared Branching network, Financial Service Centers Cooperative, Inc. (FSCC). She began working at FSCC in 1993 as its CEO then decided to transition to COO/Executive Vice President to focus on FSCC’s operations and spend more time with her family. As one of the pioneers of the first Shared Branching locations in the U.S., Ms. Kramer and her leadership transformed the network, creating locations that served as outlet-owned access points operated by credit unions.
Ms. Kramer currently overseas sales, marketing, business development, network operations, and innovation for FSCC. Her responsibilities also include reviewing and incorporating new services and products to support FSCC’s participating credit unions in serving members.
NAPW nominates professional women who support humanitarian causes helping families and children. Ms. Kramer’s philanthropic work was also honored as she is involved with Credit Unions for Kids® through the Children’s Miracle Network, World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) supporting women around the world, and Tender Mercies ministries supporting children in Uganda. She also supports Compassion, a world organization that is devoted to helping children in underprivileged countries and she is active at the Rancho Christian Center in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
Back in 2005, Ms. Kramer was awarded Manchester’s Who’s Who for executives and professionals. Other past achievements for Ms. Kramer include City Council member in Cortland, Illinois and running for the DeKalb County Board for the State of Illinois in the 1970’s. In Illinois she managed and audited credit unions. She also held board and committee positions for credit unions in Illinois and California.
